Getting Started
This page will help you access information on how to cite sources appropriately.
To get started, choose one of the tabs above.
Check with your instructor if you are not sure which citation style you should be using.
If you are having trouble figuring out how to cite your sources, or if you need more information than is provided here, please ask a librarian for assistance.
Citing Primary Sources
If your primary source has not been published, look for examples of unpublished materials: photos, books (diaries, scrapbooks, etc.)
If your primary source has been reproduced in a book or article that has been published, look for examples of indirect citation.
For more information about documenting primary sources, see our Guide to Primary Sources.
