These are great electronic resources that can get you started on your research. You can use them to find background information and to brainstorming keywords.

  • CQ Researcher: a collection of reports covering political and social issues, with regular reports on topics in health, international affairs, education, the environment, technology and the U.S. economy.
  • Credo Reference: a collection of dictionaries and encyclopedia. Check out the Mind Map feature, which allows you to visual see how terms and concepts are related to each other.
  • Gale Virtual Referencea collection of hundreds of high quality reference books, such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographies, and handbooks.
